Frosty D.R.. Moore, M.D.
Dr. Moore was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He received a BS in Biology from the University of Texas and his MD from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara and Downstate Medical School, New York. He completed a flexible internship and orthopedic residency at Texas Tech University School of Medicine.
Dr. Moore is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. Dr. Moore practices general orthopedics, though he especially enjoys treating sports injuries, particularly knee injuries. He played baseball for the University of Texas and was on the 1975 National Championship team. Dr. Moore is very active in his community serving as a high school team doctor, serving on boards of local hospitals, the Chief of Surgery at Westlake Medical Center as well as Medical Director for physical therapy. He is on the Board of Directors of the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo and serves as its Medical Director. He is an active member of the Justin Sports Medicine Team. He has written articles recently on total hips, total knees and hemiarthroplasty and presented them around the country to teach and instruct other orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Moore is married, and the father of four boys. His hobbies include coaching little league baseball, serving as Cub Master and Den Leader for Cub Scouts, ranching, scuba diving, skiing, and hunting, all of which he enjoys with his sons.
